When you think of an Italian piazza on a summer night, you imagine the gentle buzz of conversation, the aroma of food from a nearby kitchen, and soft acoustic music drifting through the air. That’s exactly what we aim to recreate every Wednesday in our garden.
Each performance features a local solo musician playing acoustic sets that blend seamlessly with the evening. No amplifiers. No high-volume speakers. Just clear, soulful music performed live as you eat, drink, and enjoy the company around you.
Music begins promptly at 19:30 and plays through until 21:30. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to settle in, order drinks or dinner, and enjoy the full experience without feeling rushed.
These aren’t concerts. They’re evenings built around ambience. And they’ve become a favourite midweek tradition for guests who love a touch of culture, comfort, and live acoustic music in Reading in their evenings out.
Pair the Music with Pizza, Wine, and More
Acoustic Wednesdays are about more than just great music. They’re also about savouring fresh, flavourful Italian food in a relaxed garden setting. Throughout the evening, you’ll have access to our full Italian menu, including artisan pizzas, antipasti boards, handmade pasta, and house-made desserts such as cannoli and tiramisu.
Our wine list features carefully selected bottles from across Italy, complemented by seasonal cocktails, Italian aperitifs, and a variety of soft drinks and alcohol-free options. Everything is served at your table, with no interruptions to the music—just a seamless evening of good food and mellow sound.
Visiting us earlier in the day? Try our Quick Lunch experience, available from 12pm to 4pm, which includes a soft drink, half-pint of beer, or 125ml glass of wine with your meal. You can also upgrade to 175ml for £1.50, 250ml for £3, or a full pint for £2—perfect for a relaxed afternoon before returning later for live music.

Is the music outdoors or indoors?
All performances are held outdoors in our garden area, weather permitting. In the event of poor weather, we’ll move the event indoors and maintain the same relaxed, acoustic format.
Do I need to book to attend?
Booking is strongly recommended, especially if you’re planning to dine or take part in the Quick Lunch experience. We often reach full capacity.
Can I dine without attending the music event?
Acoustic Wednesdays are part of our evening dining service, so all garden diners will enjoy the music. If you prefer a non-musical setting, we recommend booking an indoor table.
